EBOLI – «Venerdì 21 febbraio è stato inaugurato il cantiere per i lavori dell’Alta Velocità Salerno-Reggio Calabria. Alla cerimonia hanno preso parte da remoto il Ministro delle infrastrutture e dei trasporti Matteo Salvini, il sottosegretario Tullio Ferrante e il deputato locale della Lega, sostenuto ad Eboli da autorevoli esponenti dell’Amministrazione Conte. – si legge in una nota di Sinistra Italiana di Eboli – In un clima di festa e autocelebrazioni, tra slogan come “ha vinto il popolo del sì“, “siamo testimoni e artefici di un giorno storico” e “lavorando in sinergia tra enti e governo si possono realizzare infrastrutture fondamentali“, si è volutamente evitato di affrontare le pesanti conseguenze che quest’opera avrà sul territorio.

Non si comprende il rapporto che l’amministrazione ha con Xenia, RFI e Anas. Un giorno si minaccia il blocco dei lavori mentre quello successivo si brinda con gli stessi interlocutori. – prosegue SI – E intanto si continua a parlare di compensazioni che ad oggi ancora non sono note alla città.
Come Sinistra Italiana riteniamo sia necessario porre l’accento su una serie di criticità.
Un progetto ridimensionato e privo di visione
I lavori in corso tra Battipaglia e Buccino, condotti dal Consorzio XENIA, riguardano la realizzazione di una tratta ferroviaria di appena 35 km, ridotta a un collegamento tra Battipaglia e Romagnano al Monte, un piccolo comune di soli 376 abitanti. – prosegue ancora Sinistra Italiana – Inizialmente, il progetto prevedeva un tracciato ben più ampio, suddiviso in più lotti, ma ad oggi molti di questi risultano fermi o inesistenti:
- Lotto zero tratta Sarno-Eboli così come presentato dall’Amministratrice Delegata e Direttrice Generale di RFI Vera Fiorani e depositato in Parlamento: scomparso completamente da qualsiasi ragionamento
- Salerno-Battipaglia: ancora solo un’idea su carta, ma senza nessuna prospettiva concrete
- Romagnano al Monte-Praia a Mare: in attesa del parere della Commissione di Valutazione Ambientale
- Praia a Mare-Tarsia: completamente da riprogettare a causa di gravi errori tecnici
- Tarsia-Reggio Calabria: privo di qualsiasi progetto esecutivo
Un finanziamento incerto e destinato a fallire – aggiunge Sinistra Italiana – L’unico tratto realmente finanziato con fondi del PNRR è quello Battipaglia-Romagnano al Monte, mentre per il resto del tracciato il Governo ipotizza di ricorrere a fonti di finanziamento non ancora identificate.
Nel frattempo, le risorse pubbliche disponibili che avrebbero potuto finanziare l’intera opera sono state dirottate sul progetto del Ponte sullo Stretto di Messina. Di fronte all’attuale stato delle finanze pubbliche, è plausibile pensare che questa Alta Velocità resterà un’opera incompleta, con ripercussioni sulla mobilità e sullo sviluppo economico del Mezzogiorno.
Un impatto devastante sul territorio ebolitano
Oltre all’inutilità strategica della tratta, l’impatto sulle comunità locali è già drammatico. – aggiune SI – Circa 50 famiglie saranno costrette ad abbandonare le proprie abitazioni così come numerose aziende dovranno delocalizzare i propri impianti produttivi a causa degli espropri dei terreni. Inoltre, la chiusura di diverse arterie stradali fondamentali avrà ripercussioni pesanti sulla mobilità cittadina, aggravando la viabilità locale senza offrire soluzioni alternative concrete.
Uno spreco di denaro pubblico con gravi effetti ambientali
